Before I continue, I want to ask you a question.
Do
you know the difference between an Expression and an Equation?
PETA: Well, the best way to show this difference is by an
example.
Do you see the difference?
The most obvious
difference is that an expression does not have an equal sign while an equation
does. When given an equation, your main aim is to find
the value of
the unknown, in our case
. When given an
expression, you are usually asked to simplify or expand
it.
